Consultancy in Social Research and Social Work
In the last fifteen years, I have collaborated as an expert consultant in a variety of research, teaching and intervention projects in both academic and NGO settings. Just as some examples, I have conducted assessment of asylum-seeking populations, carried out training of trainers in disaster mental health, provided clinical supervision to social work staff, led programme evaluation for torture survivors, appraised course curricula to recommend improvements, taught qualitative data analysis to research teams and developed e-learning materials on qualitative software for online universities. I act as a consultant to both small and large social research and intervention projects for university departments, research centres and supranational organisations in the three areas of expertise below.
